A new issue of the Pre-Vet Advisor e-newsletter, created by the Association of American Veterinary Medical Colleges (AAVMC), has arrived and you can find it at: www.aavmc.org/PreVetAdvisor2. This new issue includes important information about applying for financial aid, the ins and outs of admission decisions and deposits, and more. Feel free to post on Facebook, tweet the url, or otherwise share the e-newsletter with those who might be interested.

All applicants in the current 2011-2012 applicant pool must have the following application materials submitted by the November 15th application deadline: 1) LSU SVM Supplemental Application, 2) LSU SVM Supplemental Application Fee ($75), and 3) official GRE scores.

Applicants should log into the LSU SVM Online Status Check System for more information and instructions.

With the fall '11 semester now underway, it is important for applicants to get all necessary application material submitted by the appropriate deadlines.  The October 3rd, 2011 deadline for the submission of VMCAS applications, eLORs and all official transcripts to the LSU SVM is quickly approaching.  Applicants are strongly urged to not wait until the last minute to submit application material.  Applicants are also highly advised to carefully follow the application instructions given on our web site to ensure all application material is properly completed and submitted.  Applicants who fail to submit the VMCAS application, all eLORs, and all official transcripts to the LSU SVM by October 3rd, 2011 will not be considered in the '11-'12 application cycle.

The new GRE revised General Test is here! On August 1st, the biggest change to the test in 60 years was introduced. These changes, which represent a new level in psychometric design and delivery, have made the most widely administered test for graduate and business school admissions even better. The VMCAS 2012 Application Cycle deadline for applications & evaluations is: October 3rd, 2011 at 1:00 PM Eastern Time.

Potential applicants in the '11-'12 application cycle are strongly urged to visit the GRE web site at www.gre.org. There have been significant changes to the GRE test, its scoring, and the dates by which you can take the exam and by which the schools can receive the scores.
