LSU Veterinary Hospital will remain open despite the storm
The LSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital will be open for emergencies starting Tuesday, August 28 at noon until further notice
With Tropical Storm/Hurricane Isaac approaching the Gulf Coast, the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine urges you to include your pets in your evacuation plans. If your pet requires emergency medical care and your regular veterinarian’s office is closed, you may bring your pet to LSU. Starting Tuesday, August 28 at noon, the hospital will operate on an emergency-only basis.
If possible, please call 225-578-9600 for small animals (dogs, cats, small exotics) or 225-578-9500 for horses and farm animals before arriving. Updates on the hospital can be found online or on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LSUSVM) and Twitter (http://twitter.com/LSUVetMed).
Hurricane preparedness tips for pets and horses can be found on the Disaster Preparedness link in the sidebar to the right.
