Internal Medicine

The Small Animal Medicine service of the VTH is staffed by 5 faculty members who are diplomates of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, and 4 residents with extensive training in small animal internal medicine. Each faculty clinician practices general internal medicine but also has expertise in a sub-specialty area such as gastroenterology, urology, endocrinology, critical care, and infectious disease.

Specialty services offered include ultrasonography, endoscopy, bronchoscopy, cystoscopy, electrodiagnostics, CT scan, nuclear medicine, and radioactive iodide therapy.

Additional information on services provided by the Small Animal Rehabilitation and Small Animal Surgery units are available by clicking on either one of the aforementioned links.
